Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 September 2026. These terms are a contract between you and Prometheus Potential, Quebec, Canada. If you do not agree, do not use Prometheus Potential.
The service
Prometheus Potential is a hub of agent infrastructure modules. Distill fetches or searches public sources, extracts text, and returns structured facts with citations, plus Distill project memory lite. Memory stores user-supplied text with optional TTL and source links (we do not fetch those URLs). Output may be incomplete or wrong. You must verify facts before relying on them for consequential decisions.
Accounts and keys
API keys are secrets. You are responsible for traffic made with your keys. We hash keys at rest. We may revoke keys for AUP violations, non-payment, or risk to the service.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You represent you have the right to fetch the URLs you submit and to store the memories you write.
Fees
Free plan limits are listed on Pricing. Pro is USD $29 per month for the hub pack: 5,000 Distill fast units per UTC day (deep = 3 units) plus Memory beta on the same key, billed by Stripe using price price_1UHY8O6mDl8tBguf5Y9jg6vK. Published Distill overage is $0.01 per fast unit and $0.03 per deep call. In v1, over-limit requests fail with 429 rather than generating an automatic overage invoice. Memory is not a separate product.
Intellectual property
We own Prometheus Potential software and marks. Distill is a module name, not a separate company. You retain rights in your prompts, URLs, and memory contents. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the service. Source websites retain their own rights; citations do not transfer copyright.
Confidentiality and security
See Security. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Quebec and Canadian law, we disclaim implied warranties. Our aggregate liability arising out of Prometheus Potential is limited to the greater of CAD $50 or the amounts you paid us for Prometheus Potential in the 3 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including fraud or bodily injury.
Indemnity
You will indemnify Prometheus Potential against claims arising from your content, your URLs, or your violation of these terms or third-party rights.
Governing law
Laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Courts of Montreal, Quebec, unless consumer rules require otherwise. The UN CISG does not apply.
